Answers to the questions we hear most from out-of-state buyers.
Yes. We're happy to help arrange financing, but if you'd rather use your own bank or credit union, certified or wired funds must be received from your lender before delivery. Drafts, letters of credit, or funds on hold can't be accepted on out-of-state deals.
You'll need to provide state- and VIN-specific insurance along with a driver's license from your state. If you're transferring a license plate, we'll also need a copy of your state registration. All of these need to match the address on your new registration.
That's not a problem, unless your home state requires a vehicle or emissions inspection before it will title and register the vehicle.
Yes, if you're purchasing a used vehicle with certified or wired funds available immediately. If you're purchasing a new vehicle, or financing a used one, we'll need to handle it on our end, since lenders require us to provide proof of registration and lien record, and GM requires proof of registration matching any incentives received.
A handful of states won't or can't share the exact amount of local, city, county, or state fees, sales tax, ad valorem tax, or use tax with us ahead of time. For the same reason as above, we wouldn't be able to complete delivery on those deals.
Processing times vary a lot by state. If your state requires emissions, inspection, ad valorem, or property tax documentation, that will add time. Assuming we have all the documents we need, our goal is to complete your registration within 60 days.
